Estimation of Shallow Shear Velocity Structure in a Site with Weak Interlayer Based on Microtremor Array

A site condition survey is extremely important for the seismic fortification of major projects. The distribution underlying weak interlayer in sites harmful to buildings. However, it a technical problem find out overburden. shallow velocity structure can directly reflect change characteristics stratigraphic structure. In this paper, acquisition background noise conducted using microtremor linear array method, and two typical structures Wuhan, Hubei Province, are obtained through an inversion apparent S-wave velocity; meanwhile, equivalent shear-wave overburden thickness estimated, which provides basis classification. research results as follows: (1) two-dimensional profile by method be used fine imaging stratum with interlayer, its form highly consistent those drilling data.
